Company origins and current position

Forés was founded in Benicarló, Valencia at the beginning of the 1960s. From the very beginning and for more than twenty-five years afterwards, our core business was the manufacture and sale of quality home furniture with a traditional design. After gaining extensive market experience in this segment, at the end of the 1990s we decided to focus on the manufacture of an innovative type of furniture that would meet the demands of a growing new market looking for novel furniture design, ease of assembly and a highly competitive price. With this vision we have since consolidated our position as one of the recognized furniture-kit segment leaders in Europe.

We manufacture our furniture in melamine-laminated particleboard and sell through hypermarkets (always under their own brand), furniture and decoration stores as well as DIY and hardware stores.

The supply of goods for our commercial activities is secured by our own 25,000 m2 manufacturing plant and a 50,000 m3-capacity warehouse for finished products in Sant Jordi, Valencia. Our top-flight team of 120 furniture professionals keeps things moving smoothly and can count on the expert co-operation of an independently certified group of trusted raw materials suppliers and service partners.

Our mission at Forés is to support our customers through the continuous renovation and redesign of home interior furnishings, in the least complicated way and with the best value for money possible.

In fulfilling our mission we recognize the importance of harmonizing our industrial activities with our overall responsibility to society. For this reason we have consistently made sustainable waste management, the responsible use of energy and the sponsorship of community-based cultural and social activities a priority.

In January 2008 we implemented a yearly plan for optimizing our use of packaging, our supplier selection according to environmental criteria and the ongoing improvement of our internal industrial relations. The goal of this plan is to achieve outstanding levels of customer, employee and supplier satisfaction – and thereby continue to uphold our commitment to the good of society.
